An Open Letter to the Distinguished Senator Representing Delta South Senatorial District and the Honourable Member Representing Isoko Federal Constituency.

Subject: Proposal for the Creation of Isoko-Ame Local Government Area from Ndokwa East
Distinguished Senator,
Honourable Member,
I write to you today with sincere hope and a deep sense of duty, as proud son of Isoko origin. I am appealing to your good offices to propose a bill in the National Assembly for the creation of a new local government to be known as Isoko-Ame Local Government Area.
This proposed local government is to be carved out of the existing Ndokwa Ellpó LGA, and it will serve as a rightful recognition of the long-standing presence and contributions of the Isoko people in this region. Our communities have existed for generations, yet we remain underrepresented and underserved in administrative, political, and infrastructural terms.
The Isoko communities in Ndokwa East are as follows:

These towns and villages form a contiguous and culturally unified block that deserves its own administrative unit for effective governance and development.
If other ethnic nationalities within Delta State, such as the Urhobo people of Ughelli, can successfully push for the creation of new local governments which has pass the second reading and currently at the committee stage, then we, the Isoko people, can and must do the same. The creation of Isoko-Ame LGA will not only strengthen grassroots development, but also bring governance closer to the people. It will foster peace, create opportunities, and enhance the socio-economic welfare of our people.
This is not just an administrative request—it is a call for justice, equity, and recognition. It is also a rare opportunity for you, as elected representatives of the Isoko people, to etch your names in gold in the annals of our history.
If you can lead this charge, if you can sponsor and fight for the creation of Isoko-Ame Local Government Area, the Isoko people—both home and abroad—will never forget your names. Generations to come will remember you as true champions of our people. This would be a legacy far greater than any office ever held.
We trust in your leadership, and we await your action with hope and faith.
