Nollywood actress Chita Agwu has shared some personal news with her fans, and it isn’t an easy one. After 11 years of marriage, she has confirmed that a court has legally dissolved the union.

She added that she’s choosing to step into this new season with peace, grace and dignity.

What stands out most is how clearly she drew her boundaries. Agwu said she won’t be sharing private details or joining public conversations about what led to the divorce. Anyone who follows celebrity news in Nigeria knows how quickly a story like this can turn into speculation. Agwu seems to have seen that coming. She noted that marriage is a personal journey and that not every story ends the way people hope. Everyone, she said, deserves the freedom to move forward without judgment, ridicule or public humiliation.

She also thanked the people who stood by her through this period and said her focus now is on healing and personal growth. Her statement ended with a call for understanding as she goes through the transition privately.

For fans, it’s a reminder that even people who live in the public eye are allowed to keep parts of their lives to themselves. Whether or not more details ever come out, Agwu has made it clear she wants this chapter to close on her own terms.
