Zlatan Ibile and Davita Lamai held their traditional wedding in Lagos in two stunning looks, with Davido among the groomsmen. See the looks and the details.
Zlatan Ibile and Davita Lamai have crossed another big milestone together. The Afrobeats star and his partner held their traditional wedding in Lagos on Saturday, October 24, 2026, complete with two outfit changes, a flood of congratulations and Davido standing among the groomsmen.
Their first look was Benin-inspired and all about coral beads. Davita wore a deep red beaded gown with a multi-strand coral necklace and headpiece, while Zlatan chose a white outfit with red bead fringe and layered coral necklaces. He shared the photos on Instagram with the caption “IT’S TIME TO MARRY.”

For the second look, they switched to coordinated pastel Yoruba outfits. Zlatan wore a light green agbada with cream embroidered panels, a matching cap, layered white and green beads and a dark green walking cane. Davita went for a pale yellow skirt and blouse with light green appliqué, flared sleeves, a matching gele and a green clutch. This time, the caption read “MR & MRS OMONIYI.”
Then came the groomsmen photo. Zlatan and his groomsmen posed in matching native Benin outfits, and Davido, widely known as one of his closest friends, was part of the lineup. He arrived at the venue in a white Rolls-Royce after landing in Nigeria on Thursday, and he posted a stack of dollar bills on his Instagram Story with the words “Heavy weekend for my bestie.” Fans took note, especially after reports that he and Burna Boy exchanged greetings at Zlatan’s bachelor party.
Well-wishers poured in too. Influencer Enioluwa Adeoluwa and comedian Broda Shaggi were among those who congratulated the couple on Zlatan’s post. Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface reportedly sent Zlatan three cows ahead of the celebration, and at Davita’s bridal shower days earlier, Zlatan reportedly surprised her with a diamond necklace, a Birkin bag, Christian Louboutin heels and a wristwatch.
The road to Saturday started a while back. The couple announced the date on October 8 in an Instagram video tagged #DTTheUnion, with one of their two sons doing the voiceover. Back in July, they had told guests about the wedding aboard a private jet on the way to music executive Soso Soberekon’s wedding, and they reportedly held a private civil ceremony earlier.
The venue and guest list haven’t been made public, and details of performances and other guests are yet to come out. For now, the photos are carrying the story, and between the beads, the Rolls-Royce and that groomsmen lineup, this is one wedding people will keep talking about.
